Worked so hard on a tough file, met with Maureen about CCT treasurer stuff, went and bought my appliances and got some great deals. They will start arriving next Friday! super grateful to get to theatre early and have time to fix the things Pepijn and I discovered wrong. The special effect over the stage had broken last night and the director organized someone to come fix it. We arrived to find a light moved and the projector out of place. Got those things solved but when the show was running the special effect didn’t work. I was standing ready to move a set piece when I got two message on my watch to stay and solve it. We tested it twice and I feel it will work for tomorrow’s closing night. It is too bad that my advice to have it activated from backstage (where I ended up being) was not taken. Yes, that was an I told you so. I just dislike speaking into a void. I also wonder why the sound and lighting crew were the last to leave. I’d have thought it is the Stage manager’s job. Community theatre, am I right?! Oops I am whining. I was going to stop that! I shall sip my expensive scotch and watch my shows.
