09-13-21 Remembering Stonehenge.. and other theatrical releases
I started making money today at 1 pm as the entire morning was taken up by theatre overload. So much shit hit my plate this morning that required me monitoring my reactions and choosing my battles that I am reminded of 2019, Friday September the 13th when I was fed up and quit Producing a show. Today did not push me to the quitting today stage but confirmed my being done when my commitment is over as a director. This is my volunteer life, leaving me literally breathless. I could not be more sure that stress is causing my health issues since I was left struggling to swallow and feeling nauseated after my morning. This must come to an end.
Did I mention that two years ago that moment happened at Stonehenge!? My besties that I was there with are there today with their sweet daughter, Claire. I know she is a suitable stand in but I wish it were me!!! And they booked to go into the inner circle which I am very jealous of. Sigh.
I headed to the mall where the lab is hoping to get my bloodwork done. I stood there for 25 minutes before someone came out to tell me they were understaffed and at capacity so not taking anyone else in. He suggested I come at 7:30 tomorrow morning as they will have full staff on. Sigh
I still had a half hour left before my nail appointment so I went to mail cards to a couple friends. After that I went to The Source to investigate streaming cameras and had a good laugh with the employee Chris as well as picked up my first Christmas present for a grandson.
I made it to sitting at my spot in Desirable Nails and was waiting for Ty when I realized I was an idiot and had mailed a card but forgotten a wee present in my purse. I rushed across the mall to the post office in Shoppers and the guy kindly pulled the envelope out as it was easy to spot, being pink. I then purchased a padded envelope to stick it all in only to find I couldn’t send it as it included hand sanitizer that includes alcohol, which you can’t send in the mail!! Sigh.
Ty did a great job on my nails and we had a lovely visit as I was the only one there. She told me of a client who booked a pedicure knowing full well she had to wear a mask and the slung it down under her chin when she got there. She was told she must wear it like everyone else and the woman said everyone in there was stupid! She was asked to leave immediately. Sigh.
After that I went to Walmart as Ashlée had pointed out there were things I would like. I did pick up a cool Jack light for Halloween and a wee figure. I also picked up some garden items for $1 on summer clearance.
Dinner was really good again, grilled pork and salad. I do like the Good Food but Hello Fresh has more options that I am not allergic to.
