09-14-21 AGM and desired outcomes
Today I decided to go the lab as early as I could manage to get the bloodwork required before seeing the surgeon about my pelvic mass. Today I was let in pretty quickly and had a lovely chat with both the greeter and the phlebotomist. They both loved my button I was wearing and asked where to get one. The greeter shared with me as I was leaving about the terrible things she has had to put up with, swearing and disrespect. As she was busy with the next people in line I asked the lovely couple still outside to give her my button when they went in. I then reached out to the person who designed it to see if I could buy a couple dozen to give away to frontline workers in every industry and she is going to give me the best deal she can. It is hard and fast for me, Be Kind, or Be Quiet.

I got through a lot of things at work in spite of my stress reaction to meetings today about the AGM to follow. I had purposefully booked a pedicure late afternoon to get me in a relaxed mood and was thrilled that Throbby Bobby is nearly the same size as Lucy Lefty! After not even a year, I have my big toe nail back which Dr Google had promised would take 18 months.

There was a monster truck in the parking lot with a very funny license plate frame which reminded me of a Howard Stern podcast interview with George Clooney who it seems is a very big prankster and he says no one looks at the front of their car so that is where he puts naughty messages. I hope it is a Princess driving this beast!

From there I headed through a drive thru for a quick meal and had fabulous friendly service at DQ as two police cars raced down the strip with all lights flashing, a most unusual site here. As I drove out another one flew by. I am sure I will see in the FB feed what occurred.
All the last few days led up to our AGM which was fraught with stress. It went pretty well and I used my votes including two proxies to vote for the most well rounded board I could imagine. I am not sure we ended up with that as the attendance was mainly older long term members who are want to vote in ‘the usuals’. That being said, we are not a small town bootstraps theatre anymore. We are a business and people must adapt so I hope we can truly be a team. I was thrilled when Jim Cameron told us tales of the original building while we were waiting for the votes to be counted.

After the meeting, I met with Duncan who is directing the show I am Producing in February and we asked Amy to mentor in the area of rehearsal scheduling as he is a first time director and she has a strong working knowledge and a template for that. I look forward to the Auditions on Saturday!!!
All and all a productive and stressful day, lol.
