Awoke to a good chill in the air. It was 0 degrees Celsius outside and only 16 inside. I swiped left on the thermostat to change from AC to heat. It kicked in immediately and ran almost until I left for work. I need to keep my plants and StickBugs and George alive. Missy goes in and out and will soon begin staying in again. Even my car was warning me about the cold!!

Nikki, the marketing person for the GroundFloor puts high level dad jokes on the fridge when ever she is there. I liked todays and shared it with my Grandsons and Besties.

The company bought Subway for all of us today and I am glad I only got a 6 inch as it didn’t sit well after. I waited until my Good Food order arrived and finished a big filing before heading to do some errands. One was to stop at the dealership and ask about the Kootenay Edition sticker for the side of my vehicle. Josh says he will make it happen. He is still waiting for my trailer hitch package to come in and I mentioned I found out the basket on top was used. He said yes it was the bosses, like it was no big deal that the gear on my vehicle wasn’t new. Of course that makes me just fine with all the extras.
I raced home to get cooking as Danika and Emmy were coming for dinner and couldn’t stay long. I made the Almond Crusted Chicken with Roasted Veg. Missy was guarding the gate when I got home. She’s unusual. Suits me fine.

We had a great dinner, they both loved the pillows I made and Danika said dinner was so good she wanted to lick the plate. That is high praise indeed! I was just so enjoying the moment that I didn’t even take pictures. I texted Danika later to ask her to take a picture of Emmy with the pillow she chooses. I have to do a shop in Elkford on Sunday and they will be home so I will get to see their new home.

After they left, I went and made up the trailer, scrubbed things, washed the floor etc., in anticipation of the guest arriving tomorrow for two nights. I am honestly glad it is the last rental of the season. By the time I was done with everything, I was exhausted. I sadly had to say no to an invitation to hang around a fire at friends house. I have never been there before and wanted to say yes, but I am peopled out!!! I asked for a no-raincheck.

Before heading to bed, I soaked my feet, trying to get the black from the cheap flip flops off and started sorting pictures for the photo books I need to make by Saturday so I don’t waste the vouchers. I am planning Santa Fe and Santa Barbara trips. I left it too long, of course.
