11-15-22 and I thought yesterday was busy!
Up and at it, off to do many things. My left arm is a bit sore from my shot. Not tired though like I can be for a couple days. Stopped at the theatre to drop something off, checked on the contractors and all seems to be going along at a good pace, thankfully. Once at the office I was knee deep in payroll and items that client’s had left to the last minute. I had called for a nail appointment as they are getting too long for work and it was to be tomorrow at 3. Just after noon, when I was finishing up an ROE, they called to see if I could come at 1. I decided it would be good to get it out of the way. I then stopped at Shaw to figure out Mom’s bill. It was then a race back to the office to get everything done that I could before heading to Arby’s for my 5-8:30 shift. One person had to go home sick, the long term employee was off at 7 and then poor Rae-Anne was left with Jesse and I, two newbies. To be fair, we rocked it but after working all day and then doing the mopping, bathroom cleaning, working payments at the drive Thru, as well as a few lobby customers and then doing all the dishes.. I am bagged. My arms are sore but I am so glad I had the confidence of enough shifts under my belt to jump around. Rae-Anne rocked it in spite of being fragile herself. She really is an amazing manager, I just wish she didn’t have to cover so many shifts. I offered to clock out early and keep working but she wouldn’t let me and in the end it was just she and I. I was done by 10. I am bone weary but can’t just go straight to bed before winding down. I may skip the treadmill tomorrow as I am on the same shift tomorrow night but get to work with Gene! Ashlée is the shift manager so it will be fun to work with three generations of us.
