11-29-22 Let the trumpet sound
I had planned to be at the office earlier today but as I stepped out of the shower and was brushing my hair, I heard a vehicle drive up followed by a knock at the door. It was Rae-Anne who pleasantly surprised me with an advent basket of gifts. We ended up having nearly an hour visit before she had to head off and I needed to get dressed and on my way. It is my cousin Joe’s 60th birthday today. For years, I would call him on his day. Along the way I even lost his number but I emailed and Facebooked him. Imagine my thrill when he responded with an amazing picture of our fathers together.
Work was work, got a lot done, enjoyed Natalia’s company now that we are both healthy again. I finally remembered to take a picture of the lovely decoration that Emmy made me
After work I came home for a bit and then headed to Key City for the Parkland Middle School band concert. Grades 7, 8 and 9 all performed. There were so many grade 7s that they had to split them into two bands! This makes my band geek heart so happy and they were all so good. Lukas was in the grade 8 bank playing Trumpet and I was so glad to finally be there to see him live. He was thrilled that all 9 family that were available were there.
I was surprised that my solar lights were on. It is true that it was a beautiful sunny day but one was under snow!
