07-12-23 Pre-Fest Day 2
Or the day that I awoke refreshed, enjoyed a shower, a coffee, and a yogurt before sitting in the shade of the Construction crew living room and running payroll for back home. Now when I say living room, I mean it. Between two camper trailers are their awnings stretched out. Under this is a patchwork of mill ends from the carpet store, a wooden coffee table and various couches and overstuffed chairs they have collected by hitting up the free section of Facebook marketplace. It’s quite posh. The day was good for review of things on my own and with Doug, for big hugs from previous crew who were arriving, and a great but short visit with Camille. She picked me up and we went to Superstore for some supplies and ice. As we drove and wander the aisles, we found many similarities in a health issue we are both experiencing. That whole swollen esophagus thing that I deal with only periodically now is also what she gets and apparently its allergy related. I am sitting on my couch, with the star lamp casting on the ceiling of my tent, listening to classic rock from the neighbour’s and it is all improved by the wee puff I had earlier. Sweet Dreams!
