07-22-23 Rockies Car Show Day
I slept sort of well, realizing this morning that I have not been sleeping under my weighted blanket so I made sure to put it on my bed for tonight, as tomorrow, I don’t have to set an alarm!!
I got myself ready and then went out to wash the Willys and prepare for the car show. The registration said from 11-2 so I showed up just after noon to find the place already full with around 200 cars by my guess. I was very well received pulling into the back row and a few more vehicles arrived after me. It was extremely hot with no natural shade nor water stations. I was grateful for the people who welcomed me to share their shady spots and the great conversations we had. I loved the children who made their Dad’s remember my number to vote for me. There were a few things I would do differently but over all Kenny Bridge put on a great event. I messaged Tracey to come down and we went to the beer garden to join her friends, one of whom, Ray, I had worked with at BC Assessment and we all had a great time. It was a very long day in the sun and dust but there were so many impressive cars and I was glad I was there.
