I know there are many people who recognize today as Cinqo de Mayo but it is also something much more serious and important – a Day to remember Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women. Red dresses were hung in honour. Something must continue to be done to prevent the terrible losses.
I spent 4 hours with the bookkeeper for a file I am taking over. It was truly enjoyable as she is as fun as she is smart. I was stressed about taking this one on but I can do it, one step at a time. The only problem was, I didn’t have breakfast and we weren’t done until nearly 3 when I could finally grab some food. My brain was beginning to check out by then. I had some leftover wonton and got back to work for a while. The others in my wing headed for a bevie on a patio together but I decided to pass as it is not my bubble group and I had much to do.
I picked up several cases of used wine bottles from Bill at Grapes and Suds. I need to soak the labels off them and sanitize them ready for bottling my next batches of hard lemonades. It was nice of him to let me have them. Will be a bit of work but free!
Got home at a decent time, made something to eat and attempted to finish the puzzle I am working on but honestly, it is so frustrating that I may decide to pack it in. Too many pieces fit this same and the details are so similar… if it causes stress, it needs to go…
