05-30-26 Sawyer Day
Imagine when I woke at 8:15 or so to find that Sawyer had already gone out and filled a garden bag with the storm windfall branches from the willow. He said he’d been awake thinking about GG so tried to keep himself busy. Not your average 11 year old.
We watched Lukas playing in the BCSS AA Rugby Championships. They won and came in 7th overall which is great for our small city
We did go out and he helped while I mowed to beat the rain. We took the recycling and stopped for lunch at DQ. It’s one of the few spots we can eat together for under $20. We stopped and picked up distilled water and dropped things off before taking him to his swimming lesson. I ran off to see Ireland for pits and brows and a good catch up.
Once I picked him back up we went up to visit GG and he asked if we could go to her apartment and pick out a cat figure to keep. She said of course. We chatted with Gwen in the hall and I mentioned he was the youngest of four brothers. She said he must get away with everything. He said that actually wasn’t true, that Gene was everything and he bullied Lukas, Lukas bullied Will and Will bullied him.
We went to Moms and he picked out three cats and helped me clean out the fridge and take out the garbage.
We dropped a bag of fruit and unopened jars of items to his house and brought home plants and the popcorn bowl to mine.
I made us dinner and then we went for a soak, took showers and watched Project Adam.
It is important to Mom that I find a good home for her tea set
