08-17-26 The Dad Stuff Box
Had a good morning accomplishing some work then Rosie and I went to the store before coming home to go through a few boxes of photos and treasures they’d brought from Moms. I love Rosie’s new car. It’s an updated version of mine
There were some amazing things from her time as Snow Fiesta Princess and even her uniform from CGIT, Canadian Girls in Training which I will take to the archives in Kimberley.
One whole box was labeled as belonging to her Dad and it was incredibly interesting. There were many old poetry books including one from the 1800s. I never knew that Grandad Frank was such a well read poetry lover. There were pins and medals and paperwork from his time in the US and Canadian Air Force. My favourite find was a pair of his and his wife, Peggy’s glasses
There were some unidentified pics and I found this one to be especially intriguing
After a delicious dinner, Rosie, Lukas and I watched The Last House which was simply bizarre
It has been very nice to just hang out and spend time with loved ones.
