Off we went heading east meeting a few traffic snarls and stopped in Chilliwack for gas and food. I waited at a light to turn into the Shell station which was 199.9, same as others we’d seen when I spotted the BVD across the street at 155.5! Score! Next was Chester’s Chicken for some delicious tenders and then back on the road.
We made it to Rosie’s around 5 and she treated us to a fabulous dinner at Finz. There drink special was the Jolene in honour of Dolly Parton who died today. She was such an inspiration, loved by all and will be missed.
Rosie and I sat on her deck solving all the world’s woes over a glass or three of wine and made plans for her coming to Cranbrook next week. Gosh I love her and wish we lived closer. She is the big sister I could have had.
Lukas and I are both looking forward to being home no matter how great a time we’ve had. Some great memories have been made and I am very impressed with the young man he is.
