Just another day in the life

10-18-26 1st Matinee

October 18, 2026

I very much regretted having onion rings at 10:30 last night. By 4 in the morning I was in agony. The indigestion lasted right up to time to head for the theatre. I am glad it passed before I had to put in my corset. It was a good show, great audience and I was word perfect for the first time. That felt good.

I came home to do a bunch of housework before settling down to soak my feet in my foot spa and work on a couple seasonal Lego. I love them!

There was a college age woman standing at the bus stop when I left the theatre. As I was standing in the sun she cautiously approached me and asked if I had played Mrs. Borden. I replied yes and thanked her for coming to the show. She then asked if I had acted a lot before. When I said yes, it’s a passion, she said she could tell. We then chatted about her passion for horses. It was just a lovely moment between strangers.
