08-11-26 smoke
It seems my allergy is actually wood smoke. I remember in ‘95 when I moved to Salt Spring Island and beginning in October I found myself regularly at the hospital on oxygen. It was determined that the smoke from many starting up their wood stoves was causing me lung issues. I used a puffer those first few months. Today a client invited me to join them for mini golf and around the 13th hole I began to feel poorly. After we were done I was enjoy shaved ice when I started to feel phlegm building and had to head back to the office. Once indoors I felt my breathing start to calm. I ended up staying until 8 or so working and was able to come home and have a visit with Tracey in her yard.
During the day, while I was working, I sat on hold for an hour with Service Canada to find out where Mom’s death benefit was and how to pay back the overpayment of OAS. I did get home to find the cheque in my mail in spite of the incorrect address provided by the funeral home. I love this city!!
My Halara order arrived today and now I have comfy travel clothes.
