I met with three KCT employees in the morning to decide about hospitality for EdFest
Next it was off to the Rotary Board meeting at Heidout. I was glad that others saw that we shouldn’t have to pay for our lunches in exchange for what we do.
From there I drove Leanne to meet at Denham Ford for the Food for the Hungry fundraiser where Aven was in the dunk tank. Good for us for fire season but bad for the fundraiser, it actually rained.
I did get a lot of work done, reset Moms phone and handed it off to Lukas, signed my health and POA docs, and am readying for my trip.
After work I hoped to meet up with Tammy, but she could not arrange it. I did have good visits at the F&B for wing night. On my way home, across from the school I spotted two youngish girls approaching two good sized bucks in their front yard. I stopped and rolled down my window and in my nice voice suggested they may want to move away. Immediately, a man, presumably their father, whom I hadn’t seen on the porch came down and demanded that I mind my own business and move along. I apologized for not seeing him and said it takes a village and I wouldn’t want to see them hurt. He repeated his demand. I was stunned and wish the best for those girls as there are a lot of reports around town of deer attacks.
